Brum the bear sat in his cozy armchair, spreading marmalade on toast. Outside, snowflakes danced like tiny butterflies.
"How lovely and quiet," he sighed happily. Everything was perfectly normal on this December morning.
DING-DONG! The doorbell rang so loud that Brum jumped. SPLAT! His marmalade toast landed sticky-side down on his head!
"Oh dear!" Brum opened the door with toast still on his head. Mrs. Rabbit stood there holding a giant box of Christmas decorations.
"Brum! Perfect timing!" she said. "Help me decorate the community tree!" She didn't notice his sticky situation.
Brum reached for shiny ornaments, but his paws were super sticky! BOING! Ornaments bounced everywhere like jumping beans!
"I'll wash my paws!" Brum rushed to the sink. But he turned the tap too hard - WHOOOOSH! Water sprayed like a fountain!
Now he was sticky AND soaking wet! He grabbed tinsel to dry off, but it stuck to him like sparkly spaghetti.
"Maybe if I shake..." Brum wiggled and jiggled. The tinsel made him look like a disco ball bear! Ornaments rolled everywhere!
He tried using his nose to hang ornaments instead. But - ACHOO! His sneeze sent decorations flying like fireworks!
Stars stuck to the ceiling! Candy canes dangled from the lamp! The angel landed on poor Mrs. Rabbit's ears!
Brum spun around trying to catch everything. CRASH-TINKLE-WHOOPS! He was now a walking, jingling Christmas tree himself!
Mrs. Rabbit started giggling. "Brum, you ARE the decoration!" She hung one last star on his marmalade-sticky ear.
All the neighbors came to see. "Best tree ever!" they cheered. Brum's accidental decorating had made everyone smile.
They took photos with their bear-tree friend. "Same time next year?" asked Mrs. Rabbit. Brum just laughed and jingled!
