Squeaky the penguin loved school so much! But oh dear, something was always missing from his backpack.

"My books!" Squeaky giggled. "I forgot them again!" His teacher smiled. "Let's find a fun way to remember!"

First, Squeaky tried tying a string on his flipper. But splash! It fell off when he waddled to the water fountain.

"Oopsie!" Squeaky laughed. "Strings don't stick to flippers!" His friend Bella the bunny hopped over to help.

"What if we make up a silly song?" Bella suggested. They sang: "Books and lunch and crayons too!"

But the next day, Squeaky hummed a different tune. "Socks and bunch and... ravens?" That wasn't right!

Their teacher showed them colorful sticky notes. "Let's try these!" Squeaky stuck a bright blue one on his backpack.

He drew a picture of books on it. "Now I'll see it every morning!" Squeaky's eyes sparkled with excitement.

The next morning, Squeaky saw the blue note. "Oh! Books!" He packed them right away, feeling very proud.

At school, he remembered everything! "The picture helped me!" Squeaky told everyone at circle time.

"I get it now!" Squeaky flapped his flippers. "When I draw what I need to remember, my brain holds on tight!"

Soon Squeaky had notes everywhere - a lunch box picture, a homework folder, even one for his favorite pencil!

Now Squeaky helped other friends too. "Try drawing it!" he'd say. The whole class started using picture notes.

Even when Squeaky forgot sometimes, it was okay. "That's how we learn!" he'd giggle and try again.

Squeaky danced and twirled. Learning new tricks was the best adventure ever! "What shall we figure out tomorrow?"
