Willa's Window Dreams

Story Preview

Little Willa loved winter mornings. She pressed her warm nose against the cold window. "Look at all the sparkly shapes!" she whispered.

Her finger traced a swirly pattern on the frosty glass. "This one looks like a sleepy snail," she giggled softly.

All day long, Willa watched the frost patterns change. The afternoon sun made them shimmer and slowly melt away.

"Time to come away from the window, sweetie," Mama said gently. The sky outside was turning purple and pink.

Willa put on her cozy pajamas with the little snowflakes. They felt soft and warm against her skin.

At dinner, she drew frost patterns in her mashed potatoes. "Even my food has window pictures!" she said quietly.

After dinner, Willa helped Mama tidy up her crayons. Each one went sleepily back into its box.

In the bathroom, she brushed her teeth very carefully. The mirror was foggy, just like her frosty window.

Willa chose her favorite bedtime book about gentle snowflakes. She hugged it close to her chest.

Back in her room, she put her slippers neatly by the bed. "Goodnight, fuzzy friends," she whispered to them.

She tiptoed to the window for one last look. New frost patterns had appeared like magic! "Goodnight, window dreams," she said softly.

"Goodnight, frosty castle. Goodnight, icy butterfly." Willa yawned and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

Mama tucked the soft blanket around her. "Sweet dreams, my little artist," she whispered with a kiss.

Willa snuggled deep into her pillow. Her stuffed polar bear felt extra cuddly tonight.

As her eyes closed, she dreamed of dancing with the frost patterns in a quiet, snowy wonderland.
