Atlas stood in the town square at sunrise. Something was wrong. "Where are the birds singing?" he wondered. The morning felt too quiet.

Mrs. Chen opened her bakery door. "Atlas! The birds didn't sing today," she said. "My bread won't rise without their morning song!"

Atlas's sensors blinked blue. "Don't worry, Mrs. Chen. I'll find out what happened." He noticed tiny sparkles on the ground near the fountain.

Atlas bent down with his strong metal fingers. The sparkles were seeds! "Clue number one," he said. He followed the seed trail to the park.

In the park, Atlas met Maya feeding ducks. "Have you seen any birds today?" he asked. Maya shook her head. "Only these hungry ducks!"

Atlas scanned the trees with his special eyes. Empty nests everywhere! But wait... what was that purple ribbon caught on a branch?

"Maybe someone took the birds!" Atlas said. He imagined a bird-napper with a big net. "Who would wear a purple ribbon?"

Maya gasped. "Mr. López has purple curtains in his pet shop!" They rushed across the square together, Atlas's metal feet clanking.

Through the pet shop window, they saw... only fish and hamsters. Mr. López was cleaning cages. "No birds here," he said kindly.

Atlas felt confused. His circuits hummed softly. "Back to the clues," he said. Maya picked up the purple ribbon. "This smells like flowers!"

They returned to the fountain. Atlas noticed something new - tiny holes in the ground around it. "What made these?" he wondered aloud.

Mrs. Chen brought them warm cookies. "Any luck?" she asked. Atlas shook his metal head. "Not yet, but we have seeds, ribbon, and holes."

Then Atlas heard it - a tiny chirp from inside the fountain! He used his super strength to carefully lift the heavy fountain lid.

Inside was amazing! All the town's birds were there, building something together. Twigs, seeds, and purple flowers woven into...

"A giant nest!" Maya exclaimed. The birds chirped excitedly. They had been working on a surprise all night long.

Atlas understood now. "They made a community nest! That's why they gathered seeds and flowers. They wanted all their babies safe together."

The birds began their morning song right there in the fountain. It echoed beautifully! Even louder and sweeter than before.

"Mystery solved!" Atlas announced to the gathering crowd. "The birds created something special. They just needed a safe place to sing."

Now every morning, Atlas helps open the fountain lid. The whole town gathers to hear the birds' fountain concert. Mrs. Chen's bread rises perfectly!
