Duggo's Fix-It Fiasco

Story Preview

Duggo the dog loved his little town. Every morning, he wagged his tail and looked for ways to help.

"What a perfect day!" he barked. His toolbox jingled as he trotted down the street, ready to fix anything!

CRASH! Mrs. Rabbit's garden gate fell right off! "Oh no!" she cried. "Now the bunnies will hop everywhere!"

"I'll fix it!" Duggo woofed proudly. He hammered and nailed with his paws. Bang! Bang! Clunk!

But oh dear! He hung the gate upside down! Now it opened into the sky instead of the ground.

BOING! BOING! The bunnies bounced right over it! "Oopsie!" giggled Duggo, his ears drooping.

"Let me try again!" He flipped the gate around and around. Spin! Whirl! Twist!

This time he put it on backwards! The handle was on the wrong side. Mrs. Rabbit had to reach through to open it!

"Whoops!" Duggo scratched his head. The bunnies laughed so hard they tumbled into the carrots. Splat!

"One more try!" Duggo promised. He got more tools - a saw, rope, and even bubble gum!

He built the silliest gate ever! It had springs on the bottom - BOING! - and wheels on top - ZOOM!

When anyone touched it, the gate bounced and rolled away! "Wheee!" squealed the bunnies, chasing after it.

Everyone came to see Duggo's bouncy-rolling gate. They laughed until their tummies hurt!

"It's perfect!" said Mrs. Rabbit. "The bunnies get exercise, and we all get giggles!"

Duggo wagged his tail extra fast. Sometimes the best fix is the one that makes everyone smile!
