Go loved to explore every inch of the planet. Every rock. Every root. Every hill. “There is always something new!” Go said.
One bright morning, Go spotted the great mossy boulder. It sat at the top of the hill, round and enormous. Go had never climbed it before.
“I will reach the very top,” Go decided. “I will be brave and quick!” Go ran up the hill. Fast. Faster. Zoom!
Go grabbed the boulder and started to climb. Grip. Pull. Reach. The moss was slippery because the rock was cool and damp.
Whooomp! Go slid back down. “Hmm,” said Go, rubbing both hands together. “I need a better plan.”
Go tried again. Grip. Pull. Reach. Slip! Down again. The boulder was enormous, and Go felt very small.
Then a cheerful voice called out. “Need a boost?” It was Pip, a quick little explorer who lived near the wildflowers.
“Yes please!” said Go, feeling surprised. Pip showed Go where the dry ridges were, because those spots had the best grip.
Grip. Pull. Reach — and hold! Go climbed quick and steady. Pip cheered from below. Up. Up. UP!
Go stood at the very top of the boulder. The whole planet stretched out below, enormous and wonderful. “I can see everything!” Go shouted.
Pip climbed up too. They sat together on the warm moss. “There is always something new,” Go said quietly. And they looked out at the world.
