Joo had a GREAT idea. “I will make everyone laugh TODAY!” So Joo built a stage out of old crates. It wobbled. Just a little.
The neighbours came and sat down. There was Pip the cat and old Mr. Boo. “This is going to be SO funny,” said Joo. Joo was very, very sure.
First trick: the spinning plate! Joo gave it one big spin. The plate flew off. SPLAT — right onto Mr. Boo's head.
“Whoops! That was NOT the trick,” said Joo. Mr. Boo blinked slowly. Pip the cat giggled a tiny giggle. Joo was still very, very sure.
Second trick: the confetti bucket! Joo lifted it up high. BOING — the handle snapped off. The confetti went UP. Then it came DOWN. All of it. On Pip.
Pip sneezed. Confetti flew everywhere. “THIS IS A DISASTER!” Pip yelled. Joo patted Pip gently. “Second tricks are always bumpy,” said Joo.
Third trick: the rubber chicken! Joo squeezed it with both hands. SQUEEEEAK! The chicken shot straight up — CRASH — into the wonky stage banner.
The banner fell. The crates wobbled. Then the whole stage went — WHOMP. Joo sat in a pile of crates, confetti, and one rubber chicken.
Everyone was quiet. Joo looked at the mess. Joo looked at the neighbours. Then Joo said, very seriously: “Wuggle-flop.”
Nobody knew what that meant. That was the whole point. Mr. Boo burst out laughing so hard he fell off his chair — THUMP! Pip laughed until confetti shot out of their nose.
Joo grinned the biggest grin. Because that is the secret of being funny: Sometimes the silliest word wins. “Wuggle-flop,” said Joo happily, and took a bow.
