Nonik's Glowing Nose

Story Preview

Nonik was a crocodile. He had an ENORMOUS nose! Nonik sat by the pond.

The sun went down slowly. Nonik's nose began to glow! It shimmered and sparkled. “Oh my!” said Nonik.

A tiny Firefly zoomed over. “Your nose is glowing, Nonik!” Whoosh! The Firefly danced around and around.

Nonik giggled and bounced. His nose glowed brighter! Plop! He splashed in the pond. The glow danced on the water.

“Again!” cried Nonik and the Firefly. They twirled together. Sparkle! Sparkle! His nose glowed like a little star.

But slowly, the glow faded away. The sky grew dark. The Firefly nestled on Nonik's nose one last time.

Nonik and the Firefly smiled warmly. “Will you come back?” whispered Nonik. The Firefly blinked softly. “Every dusk,” it promised.
